The Indiana Pacers had the roughest week of their season and it showed in the power rankings.

The Indiana Pacers 2-2 record over the last week is deceiving if you hadn’t been watching their games. Splitting those games wouldn’t be too bad if it weren’t for the fact they collapsed in the fourth quarter of each and every one of those game.

The loss to the Chicago Bulls followed the script but was at least against a fellow playoff contender. However, the loss to the Orlando Magic was inexcusable as they never looked interested in winning the game and were blown out in the process. The game sparked coach Frank Vogel to change in starting rotation by removing Myles Turner from it.

The Pacers beat the New York Knicks and mostly handled their business against the Philadelphia 76ers, but the damage was done to their reputation in the power rankings.

The Pacers have an average ranking of 14.8 this week, dropping an average of 3.2 spots.

The schedule isn’t easy by any means this week as they face two of the Eastern Conference’s best teams and non-playoff team that beat them in their last meeting.

Indiana faces the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight before heading north to face the Toronto Raptors before returning stateside to host the Brooklyn Nets.
