Indiana Pacers full schedule officially announced
By Tony East
The NBA released the entirety of its schedule today. We now know the 82 game slate for the Indiana Pacers.
It’s here. It’s finally here. The Indiana Pacers 2018-19 basketball schedule has arrived, and there is a lot to unpack.
After learning bits and pieces of the Pacers preseason schedule over the past few weeks, the whole regular season enchilada came out today, and it features some interesting matchups for Indiana.
For starters, it’s not so bad. 14 back-to-backs are about league average and only one more than last year. Additionally, the longest road trip is only five games and none of them are against West coast teams. The travel schedule is favorable.

The Pacers open the season against the Memphis Grizzlies at home on October 17th. Tyreke Evans will be reunited with his former teammates early on as the Pacers get the year going.
The first road game immediately follows in Milwaukee two days later against the Bucks. The Pacers get to see Giannis Antetokounmpo early and often.
Domantas Sabonis doesn’t get to host his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, until March 14, 2019. That game might have some other storylines, too.
Lance Stephenson and his new teammate LeBron James will arrive in Bankers Life Fieldhouse on February 5th, 2019. The teams meet in LA on November 29th of this year as Lance is reunited with his former teammates.
Speaking of reunions, GR3 and the Pistons will get their first go at his former team on December 28th. That game is in Bankers Life Fieldhouse, so fans can watch him play in a different uniform early on.
The Indiana Pacers will get an early shot at revenge against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season, the Cavaliers. On October 27th, the squad travels to Cleveland for the first tilt between the two organizations. You know the Pacers will be ready for that one.
Indiana closes out the season in Atlanta against the Hawks. Given that Atlanta will more than likely be tanking, that is a great way for the Pacers to end the season – especially if they are pushing for playoff seeding.
