Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo joined the NBA on TNT crew to talk basketball and sing with NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley.

Unfortunately, Victor Oladipo has time on his hands now that the Indiana Pacers are out of the playoffs. The good news is, the NBA on TNT crew let him drop into the studio on Sunday night to talk basketball.

And sing a duet with Charles Barkley.

That’s what you came here for anyway. You don’t want to hear Oladipo share his insight into the game of basketball, you came to hear Barkley assault your ears.

If you haven’t exited out of your browser, burned your computer, buried the ashes, and vowed to live in the wilderness to avoid hearing that ever again, we can talk about the rest of Oladipo’s time with the guys on TNT.

Of course, they also asked Oladipo how much he and the Pacers were questioning themselves after watching what the Cleveland Cavaliers were doing to the Toronto Raptors.

“It definitely weighs on your mind, Ernie, I’m not going to lie. It’s tough, man, we wanted to win that series. We felt as if we were the better team, we felt as if we had the chance to beat them. Unfortunately, we came up short,” Oladipo said.

Oladipo mentioned the roster’s overall lack of playoff experience, though, with that seven-game series under their belt, next year might be easier.

It wasn’t the first time he thought about the what ifs, either. We know Thaddeus Young texted Oladipo and some of their teammates after Game 2 of the Cavaliers-Raptors series, expressing his frustration in seeing a team they went toe-to-toe with annihilating a higher seeded team in the next round.

Indiana’s season was special regardless of the first-round exit. But just like the players, many Pacers fans are left to wonder if Indiana could have been in the Eastern Conference Finals after seeing the Raptors get swept. After only being expected to win 30-some games last season, it is hard to believe that the expectations for Indiana next season — at least at the moment — are a 50-win season and home-court advantage in the first round.

They came close to pulling that off this season as they won 48 games and were just a few games out of the 4th seed, so maybe those expectations actually are on the low end for Indiana next season.

The season ended less than 10-days ago, but Oladipo and the rest of the Pacers are already planning on making an even bigger impact the next season. There is still a bit of regret among the Pacers for coming up short, but we’ve already seen that they are working to make sure that doesn’t happen next season.

But if you don’t want to think about the what-ifs, you can scroll back up and let Charles Barkley take away your worries with his soulful singing.
