NBA All-Star voting has officially begun. Here’s how you can get your favorite Indiana Pacers into the big game.

Last season, Victor Oladipo was named an NBA All-Star for the first time of his career. Nobody knew he would play at an All-Star level when the Indiana Pacers traded for him, but once he showed how talented he was, there was little doubt. We even suggested rioting if he didn’t make the big game.

This season, barring more missed games due to injury, it is looking more and more likely that Oladipo will be named an NBA All-Star again. His numbers are a bit down from last season, but the field is a bit weaker with some of last seasons All-Stars moving conferences or seeing their production fall off.

But maybe, some other Pacers players could make the big game. Which ones should? Well, you can decide! (I’ll make a case for a few in a second)

All-Star voting has officially opened, and there are tons of ways that you can vote:

If you follow the link in that tweet, you will learn there are four ways to vote. You can follow this link here to vote online, which you can do once per day. You can also vote via google search, just search “NBA vote” on google and you will see how easy it is.

On the NBA app, there is a place you can go to vote. Finally, you can vote on your google assistant. Simply say “Google, talk to NBA All-Star.” You can use all 4 methods every day, and you can vote for up to 10 players on the Google methods or up to 5 positions on the NBA app/website.

The case for Oladipo to be in the game is obvious. He’s incredible. But you could also pretty easily argue a case for a few other Indiana Pacers.

More from 8 Points, 9 Seconds

Bojan Bogdanovic is having himself a hell of a year. He’s 27th in the conference in scoring per game despite taking the 46th most shots per game. He’s also top 5 on the 3-point percentage leaderboard and has proven to have a quality off the dribble game. He isn’t quite at All-Star level, but he’s closer than you think in his best-ever season.

Myles Turner might be one of the best 3 defensive players in the conference, he is up there with Embiid and Antetokoumnpo. His impact on defense might be the best in the conference, he has the highest Defensive Box Plus-Minus of any player in the league with 500 minutes this season.

More recently, Myles Turner has put his hair in a ponytail and become a complete monster. In the month of December, he’s averaging 15.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field. He has been unstoppable. If he maintains that pace, he has a decent shot at being an NBA All-Star.

Domantas Sabonis is the final player you could argue deserves a spot in the big game. Sabonis is averaging 20.8 points, 14.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per 36 minutes. That has only been done one time before in NBA history, and it was some nobody named Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1976. Kareem won MVP that season.

Sabonis is a stat producer when he is on the floor, and his offensive game is beautiful. Unfortunately, his defensive game isn’t as polished, and that keeps him from playing big minutes and being more impactful. But he still leads the league in true shooting percentage and is a complete monster on the offensive end of the floor. He should get All-Star consideration, and he should be in the conversation for some awards as well.

Thaddeus Young just won a conference layer of the week award, but his whole season body of work isn’t impressive enough to get it. He does the little things better than anyone, but that won’t get him into the game.
