,After being waived by the Indiana Pacers just two weeks ago, Ben Moore has found a new home with the San Antonio Spurs.

The Ben Moore story continues to add chapters. In his rookie season, he worked hard enough to get a two-way contract from the Indiana Pacers despite going undrafted.

On that deal, he spent most of his time with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. But he did get a small amount of burn with the Pacers. He played in two games and accumulated nine minutes, where he was able to pull down a rebound and dish out an assist.

More from 8 Points, 9 Seconds

After that short stint, Moore was given a chance to fight for the Indiana Pacers final roster spot this season. He made the team as the 15th guy, and he was able to spend the first two weeks of the season with the team.

However, after that period, he was waived so that the Pacers could open up a roster spot. After an up and down journey, Moore landed with the Mad Ants for a few games due to his familiarity with the Pacers organization.

In four games with the Mad Ants this year, Moore was impressive. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting a gaudy 72.5 percent from the field. That was apparently impressive enough for Moore to earn another contract with a professional team.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Moore has signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs:

Moore will get a chance to develop under Gregg Popovich, which is about as good of a situation as a young player could be in. He could help improve the Spurs frontcourt depth, and they have been dealing with some injuries, so he could be just what they need.

Next. Aaron’s Holiday is over; he’s here to stay for the Pacers. dark

This is great news for Ben Moore to get an opportunity to improve, but it is a bummer that the Indiana Pacers lose a hard working young player. Hopefully, he can succeed in San Antonio.
