The NBA did their annual rookie survey at rookie picture day. Indiana Pacers rookie Aaron Holiday made a few appearances in the results.
At rookie photo shoot day, we finally got our first glimpse of first-round pick Aaron Holiday in Indiana Pacers gear.
He posed for photographers in a variety of poses, including this one, which makes me think he is the next big star on Disney channel:

The highlight of rookie photo day is never the actual photos. Seeing what a guy looks like in a jersey gets fans excited for their first appearance on the court, but what draws the most intrigue on picture day is the annual rookie survey.
In the survey, NBA.com asks each youngster questions like “who will win rookie of the year?”, “Who is your favorite player in the league?”, “What is the most important skill you need to develop?” and many more.
While there was some draft buzz from basketball fans and analysts about Indiana Pacers draftee Aaron Holiday, his peers apparently do not think as highly of him.

To the questions “Who will win rookie of the year?” and “Which player from this draft will have the best career?” Holiday received no votes. Zero. Silch. Nada. Apparently, none of his fellow rookies believe he will have a large impact in either the short or long term.
“Which rookie was the biggest steal at where he was selected in the Draft?” seemed like a question that Holiday should be in some consideration for. But alas…
Nothing!
The 2018-19 class seems to not think highly of Holiday, even as the 23rd overall selection. But farther down on the list, Holiday gets some love.
One fellow youngster voted for Holiday as the best shooter in the draft class. Trae Young dominated this voting category, but the Indiana Pacers rookie shot nearly seven percent better from three-point range during the prior NCAA season.
He also received two votes for the best playmaker, which was the sixth best of anyone in the rookie class.
Holiday did hit a home run in our hearts on the last question. The final inquiry, “Who is your favorite player in the league?” encouraged most guys to answer LeBron James or Steph Curry. But Holiday (presumably, since answers are anonymous) answered that his favorite players in the league are his brothers, Jrue and Justin Holiday.
You can read all of the questions and answers here. Apparently, Aaron Holiday’s skill gets little respect from his peers. Now he can spend his entire career proving all of them wrong.
