The regular season is upon us, so the Miller Time Podcast sits down to break down the upcoming season for the Indiana Pacers.

Jon Filet and Flava Dave round into preseason form to preview the Pacers’ 2017-2018 season. Hope is in short supply, but intrigue and fascination abound.

How good will Myles Turner really be, what kind of player is Victor Oladipo, will Thad Young be traded, does Al Jefferson do yoga, will we see more Good Lance than Bad Lance?

Also, the guys discuss the roles of Glenn Robinson III (the podcast was recorded before the news of his leg injury), Domantas Sabonis, guess how many times Nate McMillan will say, “Solid,”  and give some updates regarding some new ventures for the show.

The Miller Time Podcast aren’t the only ones down on the Pacers for the upcoming season. Our own Will Furr suggests that Indiana fans should embrace the darkness of the upcoming season while the odds clearly aren’t in their favor.

More from 8 Points, 9 Seconds

This season will test fans who came on board during the Paul George era and are used to the Pacers being good enough to make a playoff run every season. It won’t be shocking at all if some fairweather fans jumping ship.

For those that do stick around, watching Myles Turner develop into an All-Star is worth suffering through what could be a rough season for the team as a whole. Victor Oladipo could be a pleasant surprise as well.

If nothing else, watching Lance Stephenson be Lance Stephenson for a full season will either be a thing of beauty or a nightmare for Pacers fans. C’mon, you know you want to watch and see what happens.

The preseason is quickly approaching with a trip north to play the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 4. followed by another road game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Oct. 6.

Next: Oladipo doesn't feel pressure to replace Paul George
