Indiana Pacers reserve Glenn Robinson III made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Sunday night, where he impressed with his off-the-court smarts.

On Sunday night, most basketball fans around the world were watching the NBA finals. However, some non-basketball fans, and even some die-hard Pacers fans, tuned in to Jimmy Kimmel to watch his Sunday night talk show. The reason some Pacers fans tuned in Sunday is

The reason some Pacers fans tuned in Sunday is because one of the team’s small forwards, Glenn Robinson III, was on the show.

During the segment, Robinson and three other NBA players (Jalen Rose, Andre Drummond and Caron Butler) faced off in a game Kimmel calls “college knowledge”. The premise of the game is that the players try to show off the knowledge they have obtained at their alma matter, to show which school is “better.”

They are divided into teams, Rose and Robinson represented Michigan while Drummond and Butler represented UConn.

Robinson held off on answering the first two questions, but on the third question, Jalen made him answer. The question was “What state has Charleston as its capitol?” and Robinson almost guessed the right answer, guessing Virginia instead of the correct West Virginia.

After an easy question asking who invented basketball, Kimmel asked “what element is represented by the symbol “K”?” With no hesitation, just like on the court, Robinson III shot his shot and answered the question. He correctly stated “Potassium!” to the shock of Andre Drummond.

Then Robinson caught fire. The next question was “which president is on the nickel and $2 bill?” and Robinson fired off “Jefferson” after a brief discussion with Jalen. Glenn had  asserted his and Michigan’s dominance at this point in the contest.

With that answer, Michigan had won the contest. Robinson and Rose had done it. As a “reward”, the duo received a box of ramen noodles wrapped in a fake diploma from Drumpf University.

The biggest takeaway from the show was that Glenn Robinson III was the smartest guy there. If you want to have the same takeaway, you can watch the full clip on YouTube below.
