Glenn Robinson III Will Miss Two Weeks With a Strained Calf
By Josh Padmore
Nate McMillan announced that Glenn Robinson III suffered a strained left calf during practice yesterday, and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Glenn Robinson III wasn’t logging huge minutes as of late, but he was Paul George’s backup. Now, Rodney Stuckey is expected to replace Glenn in the rotation, according to Nate Taylor of the Indy Star.
Taylor also pointed out that the current starting five of Jeff Teague, C.J. Miles, Paul George, Thaddeus Young and Myles Turner will stick for now.
This should be interesting. Stuckey was recently pulled from the rotation in favor of Aaron Brooks. Stuckey is having the worst shooting year of his NBA career. Now, it looks like he may have to play some small forward, which is obviously not his true position. It’s been tough for
Now, it looks like he may have to play some small forward (asmall fauxward?), which is obviously not his true position. It’s been tough for Stuckey, because he also had to play backup point guard earlier in the season. He isn’t a point guard either. His real position is shooting guard.

If Stuckey stumbles with this new opportunity, the Pacers would have to dig deep. They could try and give rookie Georges Niang some minutes. Niang is versatile and can play both forward positions. In a game against the Phoenix Suns earlier this season, Niang logged a career-high 17 minutes, mostly playing small forward. The Pacers could also give C.J. Miles some backup minutes. Or they could just play Paul George 40+ minutes.
The Pacers will miss Glenn Robinson III’s energy and three-point shooting. Robinson is shooting nearly 40% from three-point range this season. He always plays hard and makes winning plays. We will see if Rodney Stuckey can get back on track and play well for the Indiana Pacers. As previously noted, it’s been a real struggle for the man we once called Godney Stuckey.

The Pacers take on the Denver Nuggets tonight at 7:00 p.m. Their defense will need to be tight, as Denver is averaging 111.5 points per game this season. That’s good for the 3rd highest scoring offense in the NBA.
