In the first episode of 8 Points, 9 Seconds Live, Ben Gibson and Will Furr talk about whether or not Paul George has heart and the Indiana Pacers’ bench.

Does Paul George have heart? That’s the big question for Indiana Pacers fans as of late.

That’s the first subject tackled on episode one of 8 Points, 9 Seconds Live, our foray into live broadcasting on Facebook.

Ben Gibson (me) and Will Furr (not me) both believe that it shouldn’t even really be a question, but bad games from Paul George don’t automatically equal giving up or not caring as far as they’re concerned.

That’s not to say there aren’t issues with Paul George’s streakiness on offense, but considering how much the Indiana Pacers would struggle if he did check out, maybe people should pump the breaks on that idea before fully committing to it.

Other subjects on the show included the emergence of Rakeem Christmas as a viable bench option and Monta Ellis as the Pacers’ sixth man.  If the Pacers want to keep Paul George around, they’ll need to get their act together with both the starters and the reserves.

We had a small technical snafu in the beginning, but that won’t be a staple of the show going forward, hopefully. Frankly, we are just happy nothing caught fire or anything this time.

In the future, 8 Points, 9 Seconds Live wants to answer your questions on the air. If you want to submit a question, use the hashtag #8pts9SecsLive so we can see it, and hopefully, we’ll have time to answer it. We want our viewers to be part of the show, so get your questions in for our next broadcast.
