When Team USA stopped in Chicago, Paul George found time to play Jalen Rose in a game of H-O-R-S-E.

Though he’s missed the last two Team USA games resting his calf, Paul George still has a busy schedule as the team prepares for the Rio Olympics.

Last week he took on former Indiana Pacers star Jalen Rose in a game of H-O-R-S-E during Jeep’s “Summer of Jeep” event at the Navy Pier in Chicago.

Rose also brought along 25 students from the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy to watch the US team play Venezuela that night.

Of course, the reason why they were doing this from inside and around the vehicle is George and Team USA are sponsored by Jeep. He’s featured in their Olympics advertisements as well.

As reported by Scott Agness of Vigilant Sports, George was selected in part for the story of his comeback, one that Pacers fans have been keeping a close eye on.

"“Landing on Paul, I think was true to the spirit of our brand, true to the resiliency that I think he represents, and his reach,” Kim Adams House, Head of Jeep brand advertising, explained to VigilantSports.com in a phone interview.“I think he is becoming more widely known based on not just his skill, but what he has faced in terms of adversity. I think celebrating our summer campaign and in speaking on behalf of our brand that represents this enabling spirit, this authentic and passionate approach to living life fully, we couldn’t have found a better complement to what our mission was throughout this campaign.”"

Jeep also released a series of short videos featuring Paul George and a few of his friends talking about the soon-to-be Olympian’s journey to Team USA. They talk about growing up, his injury in 2014, and heading to Rio to compete this summer.

Paul George also talks about his Mom’s struggles after her stroke in comparison with his own recovery, which is the most humanizing part of these ads.

PG says he’s looking forward to loading his Jeep up with fishing poles and going fishing, but for now, it looks like his parents Paul and Paulette have to keep an eye on it while PG is in Brazil.

This deal only adds to the $7 million in endorsement earnings George made last year according to the Indiana Business Journal. He’s also in the latest Gatorade commercial if you haven’t been paying attention.
