Paul George added another stamp in his passport as the Indiana Pacers star made a stop in the Philippines to catch some basketball and put up a few shots of his own during Nike’s RISE tour.

According to the The Philippine Star the heat in Manila wasn’t enough to stop Paul George from knocking down 5-straight 3-pointers but the quick hands of one of the local players pick-pocketed the NBA star and earned the Filipino a spot in one of the Nike camps.

"George watched the Tenement Blue team outlast the Fad Fam team, 9-8, in a free-flowing, ‘larong kanto’ (streetball) style that got him jumped off his seat after the thriller. The 25-year old swingman, who is coming off a serious knee injury that sidelined him last season, could not help but to get on the court. His shooting was as hot as the sweltering Manila heat in the open court on that Sunday night as he hit five straight triples with relative ease before playing an impromptu one-on-one with some of the Tenement kids.Carlo Belvis, a member of the Tenement Blue team,  got the thrill of his life when he stole the ball out of George’s hands during their one-on-one play. That brought out George’s competitive spirit as he returned the favor on the 19-year old out-of-school youth, who tried to go for a basket with his crafty ball handling. Belvis got rewarded for his courageous stand against George as he was the first to be selected by the Pacers forward himself to get an invitation to the opening of the House of Rise on Monday."

PG also found some time to throw down one of the heavy-hitting dunks we were used to seeing before his injury.

The Philippines are the final stop in Nike’s promotional tour that started in China a few days ago. While in Beijing PG led similar camps and learned some tai chi before surprising a group of Chinese Pacers fans.
