The Indiana Pacers did nothing at the trade deadline. Well, sure, they made some phone calls and reportedly were in the mix for Reggie Jackson before the Oklahoma City Thunder found a better deal than whatever it was that Larry Bird may have had on the table.

But the fact remains: They have the exact same team as they did before the All-Star break.

Was this the right call? Did the Pacers need to make a move? Why didn’t they trade harder? Is Larry Bird too complacent?

Meanwhile, nearly all the team’s chief rivals for the playoffs — the Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics — made moves that, on paper, will improve their teams.
