Game 3 proved why the Toronto Raptors are the 2nd seed and the Indiana Pacers are the 7th.
The Good: Paul George and Myles Turner look like the foundations of the Indiana Pacers future, and George Hill didn’t have a bad night either.
The Bad: Bad maybe isn’t the perfect way to put it, but the last two games of this series have served as reminders of the fact this is really a transition year for the Pacers, and they overachieved by making the playoffs.
The starters weren’t so bad, but combined was limited contributions from the bench, and you have a loss on your hands.

MVP: Paul George had a double-double, but had a little trouble shooting as he was 6 of 19 from the field and 1 of 8 from distance. He did make up for that was his aggressiveness going to the basket as he was a perfect 12 of 12 from the foul line.
LVP: Lavoy Allen plays defense and does plenty of things that don’t show up in the box score, but having 2 rebounds and zero points as a starter is an issue. Sure, he only played 8 minutes, but he was basically dead weight in all of them. It may be better to bring Turner off the bench, and I get that, but what’s the point of Allen starting if he does nothing?
X-Factor: Myles Turner’s future looks bright as he shot the ball well, making 7 of his 12 attempts and scoring 17 points. He’s still learning a lot defensively, but he’s learning to adjust his game and has been a positive for the Pacers in the playoffs.
