On Thursday, Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton took to social media to (somewhat) share an update on his recovery from his Achilles injury. In his post on X, the Wisconsin native revealed that he is now able to put shoes on both of his feet, which shows he is making good progress.

"Feels good to have 2 shoes on againπŸ™πŸ½πŸ’™," Haliburton wrote on X.

While not an official injury update or anything related to his timeline, it is still a promising update nonetheless. Following Haliburton's post, many fans took to social media to send their messages to him.

"Let’s Goooo," one fan wrote on X.

"The Haliburton <> Tatum comeback about to be legendary," another fan wrote on X.

"Glad your recovery is going well Tyrese," another fan wrote.

"Comeback gonna be epic Tyrese! Cant wait to see you back on the court! πŸ”₯," a fourth fan wrote.

"Glad to see that, I pray for your speedy recovery. πŸ™πŸ»," a fifth fan wrote.

The Pacers are going to be a different team without Tyrese Haliburton

Following Haliburton's devastating Achilles injury, he will be out for the entirety of next season. To say this is tough for Pacers fans would be an understatement. The team just made it back to the NBA Finals for the first time in two decades, and with how well Haliburton was playing to begin Game 7, there is a world that exists where they are the reigning NBA Champions.

Despite the injury to the two-time All-Star, Indiana will still have some great opportunities to experiment and potentially make some magic happen once again.

In Haliburton's place, the Pacers will slide Andrew Nembhard over to the point guard role full-time. The Canadian native is a natural point guard and should be in line for a breakout campaign. Unfortunately for Indiana, Nembhard is no Haliburton, and fans will learn this soon enough. Even so, there are still reasons to be excited.

With Haliburton, the Pacers run a fast-paced offense that relies on improvisation and a lot of ball movement. However, fans can expect things to look a little different with Nembhard running the show.

Next season, Indiana will likely rely a lot more on a more traditional offense with set plays in the half-court. This is the right call as it will allow the offense to play to Nembhard's strengths, which in turn should give the team its best chance to remain competitive.

Despite Haliburton's injury, all signs point to the Pacers wanting to still be competitive next season. Another deep playoff run is unlikely, but they can still make some noise. The Pacers were among the most resilient teams in the league last season, and they always exceeded expectations. With them facing their biggest test so far, it is fair to assume they will not start backing down now.

Once the Pacers get their star guard back, they should be able to re-establish themselves as legitimate title contenders. Until then, they will attempt to at least stay afloat and remind the basketball world just how talented they are.
