Tyrese Haliburton has been a beacon of light for the Indiana Pacers ever since he arrived back in 2022. He has done everything in his power to help change the culture and identity of this Pacers team, making it one of the biggest sleepers in the Eastern Conference as of late. With two straight years of making the Eastern Conference Finals and being one game shy of winning the championship last season, he has proved to be the leader this team has been searching for.

Not only has he been a leader in the locker room and helped the team reach new heights, but he is also helping off the court. Recently, there were some NBA waves in the media, and Haliburton himself posted a meme about it.

Tyrese Haliburton is a great teammate on and off the court

This was in response to a radio show hosted by Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrine, The Starting Lineup, on SiriusXM. On this show, Isola revealed some jealousy when discussing how he was losing an hour of his show to Kenny Beecham.

For Haliburton, this is something he could have ignored, but he decided to step in. You want to know why? It is because he and Beecham are friends and have had a relationship for a while now, with Beecham rising in the media world. Whether it's from his podcast, now known as Numbers on the Board, or from his multiple YouTube channels, or from his work for NBC or even Enjoy Basketball, Beecham is known in the NBA landscape.

Seeing this type of post ruffle many people's feathers on social media, as any post does, was amazing, especially seeing an NBA player speak up for one of the upcoming new faces in media. Just like he does with his teammates on the court, with a missed call or a missed shot, Hali is there to stick up for his friends.

As a Pacers fan, that should make you ecstatic to see, especially out of your superstar player and leader. This is someone who will stand up in these battles and will never back down for the Pacers, which is even better to see heading into this next year. With their uncertain status, retaining their lottery pick, and expectations to be better, a lot will ride on Haliburton bouncing back from his torn Achilles.

He will have an uphill battle to make sure Indiana can get back to that promised land of the NBA Finals, but with his teammates' support, just like he shows all the time, the Pacers can meet that obstacle.
