During the Indiana Pacers' victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, guard Tyrese Haliburton suffered a hamstring injury and missed the entire second half. The Pacers stayed resilient and handed the Cavaliers their first loss in over a month. However, many were more concerned about Haliburton and his injury status. This was the same injury that kept him out for some time last year, including the final two games of the playoffs. Naturally, Pacers fans are fair in their concern.

While there is no definitive injury updated regarding the Wisconsin native, we at least know he is not likely to play against Cleveland. The Pacers have listed him as DOUBTFUL due to his hamstring injury. In a way, this may be the most positive update given that he was not immediately ruled out. However, we still do not know the severity of the injury or if he is in danger of missing more time.

Here is the full injury report for tonight's Pacers and Cavaliers matchup.

1/14 Pacers injury report vs. Cavaliers

  • RayJ Dennis (G League) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Enrique Freeman (G League) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring soreness) - DOUBTFUL
  • Isaiah Jackson (Achilles) - OUT
  • Quenton Jackson (G League) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Aaron Nesmith (ankle) - OUT
  • James Wiseman (Achilles) - OUT

The Pacers officially listed Tyrese Haliburton as doubtful with hamstring soreness. Even if his injury is not serious, having him on the sidelines for at least one game could make sense. The Pacers have dealt with numerous injuries this season, and it is best for them to be as cautious as possible, especially with Haliburton, who has played each game for the team this season.

If Haliburton is unable to go, the Pacers will likely move Andrew Nembhard, who recently earned a championship-level comparison, to point guard and slide Ben Sheppard into the starting lineup.

Aaron Nesmith, who has been sidelined since November 1, remains out for the Pacers. However, he has returned to practice and "continues to make progress."

1/14 Cavaliers injury report vs. Pacers

Ty Jerome, who missed the Cavaliers' last game against the Pacers, is listed as doubtful tonight due to an illness. The New York native is averaging 10.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.2 steals in 38 games this season.
