Pacers news: Tyrese Haliburton returns to WWE, 2024-25 City Edition jerseys leak
Just a few months after making an appearance on an episode of WWE's Friday Night Smackdown, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton returned to make another cameo.
On Tuesday's episode of WWE NXT, Haliburton made an appearance and enjoyed some time on the microphone. The Wisconsin native was mostly used to advance the rivalry between Ethan Page and Trick Williams, but it was still a noteworthy moment for him.
While speaking to the crowd, and after he and his teammates were booed, Haliburton made a notable and (likely) playful jab at the Orlando Magic and their fans. Though this was seemingly just an improvisational comment, it could spark the beginning of a potential rivalry between the two teams.

- The 2024-25 City Edition jerseys for all 30 NBA teams appear to have leaked online, including the Pacers'. If the leaks prove to be the real deal, this year's City Edition jerseys for the Pacers are heavily inspired by the jersey they had last season. However, nothing is official at this point, and the official jersey designs could look entirely different. Check out the leaked Pacers City Edition jersey here.
- Recently, CBS released their rankings of the NBA's best head coaches and players. Head coach Rick Carlisle ranked as the third-best coach in the NBA. Only Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat and Nick Nurse of the Philadelphia 76ers ranked higher. Furthermore, a few Pacers players received some love from the CBS staff as well.
CBS ranked the top 100 players currently in the NBA. Four Pacers were on the list. Andrew Nembhard ranked 94th, Myles Turner ranked 64th, Pascal Siakam ranked 33rd, and Tyrese Haliburton ranked 17th. Given how overlooked the Pacers have been this offseason despite last season's conference finals run, it is a welcoming sight to see many of their players receive some praise.
- Jermaine O'Neal Jr., whose father is perhaps best known for his time with the Pacers, reportedly committed to the SMU Mustangs as part of their 2025 class. The 4-star prospect reportedly chose SMU over Villanova. According to 247Sports, O'Neal Jr. is the 34th-best small forward prospect and the 149th-best overall.
- Former Pacers forward T.J. Warren is reportedly expected to work out with the Sacramento Kings at some point this week. Warren played for the Pacers from 2019 to 2021 and is likely best known for his MVP-caliber performance during the 2020 NBA Bubble. Warren last played 11 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2023-24 season.
