4 Pacers at risk of being traded this summer
The Indiana Pacers have been a promising young team in the Eastern Conference, as they've proven capable of outscoring anyone. As it currently stands, the Pacers rank seventh in the East and made a splash acquisition near the deadline, pairing Tyrese Haliburton with Pascal Siakam, another All-Star.
The Pacers have gone 12-12 with Siakam, proving they'll need to make more moves this summer to bolster their roster. Let's take a look at four players who could find themselves on the move in the offseason.
4. T.J. McConnell
TJ McConnell has been a valuable reserve at the guard position for nearly a decade. He's been an excellent facilitator who doesn't turn the ball over much.
McConnell's shot diet has always been perplexing, as he doesn't take many threes, despite proving his ability to make them (44.1 percent in 2022-23 on extremely low volume). Many teams could use his scoring and playmaking ability off the bench.
And his contract makes him even more valuable, as his final year is 2024-25, which is non-guaranteed. I'd expect Pacers GM Chad Buchanan to cash in on his value this summer, rather than letting him walk next offseason (or giving him an extension).
