After losing to the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, the Indiana Pacers will go on the road to take on the Washington Wizards in their last game before the All-Star break. This is just the second time these two teams will go head-to-head and the first since the trade deadline.
While the Pacers had a mostly quiet trade deadline, the Wizards were a bit more active, most notably trading Kyle Kuzma to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Khris Middleton. The Wizards also landed Marcus Smart from the Memphis Grizzlies.
While the Pacers are the No. 4 seed in the East and in line for another playoff appearance, the Wizards are on the opposite side of the standings. With a 9-44 record, the Wizards are the worst team in the league and are the only team without double-digit victories.
Here is the full injury report for the Pacers and Wizards ahead of tonight's matchup.
2/12 Pacers injury report vs. Wizards
- RayJ Dennis (G League) - OUT
- Enrique Freeman (G League) - QUESTIONABLE
- Isaiah Jackson (Achilles) - OUT
- Quenton Jackson (G League) - OUT
- Myles Turner (cervical sprain) - OUT
- Jarace Walker (back) - QUESTIONABLE
Myles Turner has missed each of the Pacers' last two games due to a head/neck injury he suffered early in the team's victory against the Los Angeles Clippers on February 6. The big man will officially be out tonight as well. In his place, the Pacers will start Thomas Bryant.
In a bit of a surprise, Pacers forward Jarace Walker has popped up on the injury report due to a sore back. The second-year player has appeared in all but two games for the Pacers this season. This season, Walker is averaging 6.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
2/12 Wizards injury report vs. Pacers
- Saddiq Bey (knee) - OUT
- Anthony Gill (ankle) - OUT
- Khris Middleton (not with team) - OUT
- Alex Sarr (ankle) - AVAILABLE
- Marcus Smart (finger) - OUT
The Wizards have yet to get Khris Middleton on the court since trading for him from the Bucks. Middleton is not currently with the team and is dealing with ankle injuries. He will be out against the Pacers.
Marcus Smart, the other notable acquisition for Washington, also has yet to make his debut for the team. The former Defensive Player of the Year has appeared in just one game since the turn of the calendar.
After missing seven straight games, Alex Sarr, last year's No. 2 overall draft pick, will make his return tonight against Indiana. This season, the French native is averaging 11.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
Last March, Saddiq Bey underwent ACL surgery as a member of the Atlanta Hawks. The 25-year-old has been recovering ever since and has yet to make his Wizards debut. While he is expected to return at some point this season, it will have to wait until after the All-Star break.
Anthony Gill, the Wizards' fifth-year forward, will miss his third consecutive game due to an ankle injury. Gill has appeared in 37 games for Washington this season.
