On Monday night at 7 p.m. ET, the 13-36 Indiana Pacers will host the 30-17 Houston Rockets. This game will mark the second and final game between the two teams this season (the first being a 126-119 victory for Houston on Dec. 29).
The Pacers own the worst record in the Eastern Conference, but they have won three of their last four games and are 7-8 since the turn of the calendar. As for the Rockets, they have won eight of their last 11 games and currently own the No. 4 seed in the West.

- Obi Toppin (foot) - OUT
Taelon Peter and Ethan Thompson are both listed as doubtful against Houston due to their two-way contracts.
Obi Toppin has been out of action since Oct. 26 after undergoing foot surgery. He remains out against Houston, but he is ahead of schedule, according to head coach Rick Carlisle (h/t Tony East of Circle City Spin).
""He's ahead of schedule, technically. He's back on the court doing things," Carlisle said of Toppin. "But he'll be a while, it'll be a bit longer."

On Jan. 28, the Rockets announced that Steven Adams underwent season-ending ankle surgery. In 32 games this season, the 32-year-old averaged 5.8 points, 8.6 rebounds (including 4.5 offensive rebounds), and 1.5 assists in 22.8 minutes.
The Rockets have listed two-way forward Isaiah Crawford as available to play. Crawford has only appeared in three games for the team in his second NBA season. Additionally, former Pacers draft pick Tristen Newton, who is also on a two-way contract, has been ruled out against his old team.
Kevin Durant has missed just two games amid his first season in Houston, but he has been ruled out for Monday's game due to a left ankle sprain. In 45 games, the Texas alum has averaged 26.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists while shooting 51% from the field and 40.5% from deep.
Rockets guard Fred VanVleet suffered a torn ACL in September and is set to miss the entire 2025-26 season.
