Pacers vs. Magic injury report Dec. 31: Desmond Bane, Jalen Suggs, and more

Following their 126-119 loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday, the Indiana Pacers are on a nine-game losing streak and own the worst record in the NBA at 6-27. On Wednesday, they will host the 18-15 Orlando Magic at 3 p.m. ET.

Wednesday's game will mark the first of three matchups between the two teams this season. The Magic defeated the Pacers in three of their four games last season, and they are 6-4 in their last 10 matchups.

  • Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) - OUT
  • Isaiah Jackson (concussion) - OUT
  • T.J. McConnell (hamstring) - PROBABLE
  • Ben Sheppard (calf) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Obi Toppin (foot) - OUT

T.J. McConnell remains on Indiana's injury report due to hamstring soreness, but he is listed as probable. The Pennsylvania native is averaging 9.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 21 games off the bench this season.

The Pacers upgraded Ben Sheppard, who has been out of action since Dec. 3 with a left calf strain, to questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Houston Rockets. He ultimately didn't play, but he is listed as questionable once again against the Magic, so his status will be worth monitoring.

The Magic have listed Desmond Bane as questionable for Wednesday's game due to back spasms. Bane has appeared in all 33 of Orlando's games this season.

Jonathan Isaac exited Orlando's loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday after just 29 seconds due to a knee injury. He has officially been listed as questionable to play against the Pacers due to a sore left knee.

The Magic have been without Jalen Suggs since Dec. 13 due to a left hip contusion. He is listed as questionable to play against Indiana.

Franz Wagner suffered a left high-ankle sprain on Dec. 7 and has been out of action since. He remains out against Indiana, and he does not have a concrete timetable for his return.

Moritz Wagner suffered a torn ACL on Dec. 21, 2024, and he has yet to return since. The 28-year-old remains sidelined and will not play on Wednesday.
