Pacers vs. Hornets injury report Feb. 25: Obi Toppin update, Pascal Siakam, and more

In the midst of a four-game losing streak, the Indiana Pacers will host the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET. Thursday's game is the third of four matchups between the two teams this season. Indiana won each of the first two games.

While the Pacers are struggling, the Hornets seem to have found their groove. They are winners of two straight and are 17-9 since the turn of the calendar, according to StatMuse. With a 28-31 record, Charlotte owns the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference and is just 4.5 games behind the No. 6 seed Philadelphia 76ers.

  • Andrew Nembhard (back, injury management) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Aaron Nesmith (ankle) - OUT
  • Taelon Peter (two-way) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Pascal Siakam (wrist) - DOUBTFUL
  • Ethan Thompson (two-way) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Obi Toppin (foot) - QUESTIONABLE
  • Ivica Zubac (ankle) - OUT

The Pacers have upgraded Obi Toppin, who has been out of action since Oct. 26 due to a right foot stress fracture, to questionable ahead of Thursday's game. In three games this season, Toppin has averaged 14 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1 steal.

Indiana has also listed Andrew Nembhard as questionable due to lower back injury management.

Pascal Siakam, who has missed four of the Pacers' last five games, is listed as doubtful against Charlotte due to a left wrist sprain.

Aaron Nesmith and Ivica Zubac, who are each dealing with ankle sprains, remain out for Indiana. And Tyrese Haliburton (torn Achilles) and Johnny Furphy (torn right ACL) will be out of action for the rest of the season.

Hornets rookie Liam McNeeley has been out of action since Jan. 28 due to a left ankle sprain. He remains out against Indiana and doesn't have a concrete timetable for his return.

Tosan Evbuomwan, PJ Hall, and Antonio Reeves are all out for Thursday's game due to their two-way contracts, whereas Tidjane Salaun is out for a G League assignment.
