Pacers vs. Bulls injury report Jan. 28: Jarace Walker, Tre Jones, and more

The 11-36 Indiana Pacers will return home after their five-game roadtrip to host the 23-23 Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.

This game will mark the third of four matchups between the two teams this season. Indiana won each of the first games, and it has won five of its last six games against the Bulls.

The Pacers have lost five of their last seven games, whereas the Bulls are on the complete opposite side, having won five of their last seven games.

  • Jarace Walker (foot) - AVAILABLE

The Pacers listed Jarace Walker as questionable against Chicago due to a right foot bruise, but he is available to play. Walker has started each of the last two games for Indiana, averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3.5 steals while shooting 52.2% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc.

Indiana has listed Taelon Peter as doubtful and Ethan Thompson as probable against the Bulls due to their two-way contracts. Peter has appeared in just two games for the Pacers since the turn of the calendar, whereas Thompson has averaged 7.6 minutes across seven games in 2026.

Chicago has been without Zach Collins since Dec. 27 due to a right toe sprain. He has been ruled out against the Pacers and does not have a concrete timetable for his return. In 10 games this season, the Gonzaga alum has averaged 9.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while shooting 57.8% from the field and 42.9% from deep.

The Bulls' 12th overall draft pick from 2025, Noa Essengue, underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in December. Essengue appeared in just two games for Chicago this season.

Tre Jones has been out of action since Jan. 22 due to a left hamstring strain and has been ruled out once again against Indiana. The 26-year-old has averaged 12.4 points, 3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.3 steals in 38 games this season.

Yuki Kawamura and Emanuel Miller are both out for Chicago as they are each on a two-way contract.
