On Thursday night, the Indiana Pacers will play their final home game of the season in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. With a 3-2 series deficit, the Pacers are on the brink of elimination and must win at home to extend the series to a Game 7.
One of the biggest narratives to follow from Indiana's side ahead of the crucial Game 6 is the status of star guard Tyrese Haliburton, who suffered a strained right calf.
Here is the full injury report for the Pacers and Thunder's Game 6 matchup, including the latest updates on Haliburton's availability.
Pacers vs Thunder Game 6 full injury report
- Tyrese Haliburton (right calf strain) - AVAILABLE
- Jarace Walker (right ankle sprain) - OUT
- Isaiah Jackson (Achilles) - OUT
The Pacers initially officially listed Tyrese Haliburton as questionable due to his injury. However, according to ESPN's Shams Charania, he is expected to play. As it stands, it remains unknown how much he will play or if he will be on any type of restriction. Regardless, it would not be much of a shock if Indiana opts to give more point guard duties to Andrew Nembhard or T.J. McConnell.
Despite hitting the game-winning shot in Game 1 to steal a victory on the road, the Wisconsin native has had a very rocky series. Through the first five games of the NBA Finals, Haliburton is averaging 15 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 4 turnovers. Additionally, he has shot 45.3% from the field and 29.4% from beyond the arc. This includes a disastrous Game 5 performance, when he scored four points on 0-for-6 shooting.
Regardless, Haliburton remains one of Indiana's most important players in their quest for an NBA Championship, and though he is available to play, it will become even more difficult for the team to pull off the series comeback because of his injury.
The Pacers also have Jarace Walker on the injury report, who has missed the entire series so far due to an ankle injury. Even if Indiana extends to series to one more game, it remains unlikely that Houston alum will return to the court.
In this postseason, Walker has appeared in 12 games, averaging 3 points and 1.8 rebounds in 9.8 minutes. The 21-year-old appeared in every game in the first two rounds of the playoffs, but he has only appeared in two games since.
