On Wednesday night, the Indiana Pacers head back home for just the third time so far this season to take on the Orlando Magic. The Pacers are coming off a 134-127 victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. Despite their slow start to the season, the Pacers are now 3-4 and are trending back up. Things in Orlando do not look as promising, however.
The Magic head into Wednesday night's matchup 3-5 and have lost each of their last four games. Orlando's last victory, funny enough, happened against the Pacers on October 28 when Paolo Banchero dropped 50 points.
Both teams will be shorthanded in their matchup. Here is the full injury report for the Pacers vs. Magic game on November 6.
Pacers injury report vs. Magic on November 6
- Andrew Nembhard (knee) - QUESTIONABLE
- Aaron Nesmith (ankle) - OUT
- Isaiah Jackson (Achilles) - OUT
- James Wiseman (Achilles) - OUT
Magic injury report vs. Pacers on November 6
- Paolo Banchero (right torn oblique) - OUT
- Wendell Carter Jr. (foot) - OUT
There are no surprises on the Pacers' injury report. Andrew Nembhard is listed as questionable due to a knee issue he has had since close to the start of the season. However, he returned in Indiana's game against the Mavericks after a one-game absence. In the win, he played 29 minutes and looked good on the court. Though he is questionable, it is safe to assume Nembhard will play against the Magic.
Aaron Nesmith suffered an ankle injury against the New Orleans Pelicans on November 1. Though the exact severity of his injury is unclear, head coach Rick Carlisle revealed that Nesmith is wearing a walking boot. He is officially out against the Magic and will likely miss more time.
From Orlando's side, while they will only be without two players, they are two pretty important players to have sidelined. Paolo Banchero, who has had a fantastic season so far, suffered an oblique injury and has missed each of Orlando's last three games, all of which they lost. The Magic star is expected to miss at least the rest of this month and the beginning of December.
The Magic will also play without Wendell Carter Jr., their starting center. While Carter's injury is far less severe than Banchero's, he will also miss the matchup in Indiana. In his place, the Magic will likley rely on former Pacers big man Goga Bitadze, who recorded 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block in his lone start so far this season.
