For the last 20 years, Basketball Hall of Famer and Indiana Pacers legend Reggie Miller has been an NBA analyst and commentator with TNT. Last year, it was revealed that the 2024-25 NBA season will be the final one with TNT. Naturally, this led to Pacers fans wondering what was in store for Miller and what the next chapter of his career would be. Fortunately for Miller and Pacers fans, there is no need to wonder anymore.

Reggie Miller is set to join NBC Sports

On Tuesday, the NBA on NBC X account revealed that the Pacers great will join the team next season as an NBA game analyst.

In a statement, Miller said he is "looking forward to creating more" memories on NBC.

"It's good to be home, NBC Sports...and hello, Peacock! Some of my most memorable moments have been on NBC and I'm looking forward to creating more," Miller said.

NBC will begin broadcasting the NBA once the 2025-26 regular season begins in October. This will mark the first NBA season on NBC since 2001-02.

Miller is arguably the biggest addition to the NBC crew so far, but he is not the only one. To this point, Carmelo Anthony, Jamal Crawford, and play-by-play commentator Mike Tirico are all expected to be involved in NBC's broadcast of the NBA. With the next NBA season still many months away, it will be interesting to see who else NBC brings in.

Before making a career as a commentator, Miller was once one of the top players in the NBA as a member of the Pacers. The UCLA alum spent his entire 18-year NBA career in Indiana and is regarded by most as the greatest Pacer in franchise history.

As a member of the Pacers, Miller was a five-time All-Star and a three-time All-NBA selection. Miller also led the Pacers to an NBA Finals appearance in 2000, where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

Miller also left a lasting impact on the following generations as well. After joining the Dallas Mavericks last offseason, four-time champion Klay Thompson chose to wear jersey No. 31 as a way to honor Miller. Furthermore, when Thompson moved past Miller on the all-time three-pointers list in December, he made sure to emphasize the Pacer's impact on him, calling him an inspiration.

For the rest of the season, Pacers fans will continue to hear Miller call games on TNT. However, soon enough, he will make his way over to NBC and continue his successful post-playing career.
