The Indiana Pacers have only played in two preseason games so far, but their third of four will be tonight (Monday, October 16) at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time against the Atlanta Hawks.
Unfortunately, Indiana’s first two games haven’t quite gone according to plan, as they have gone 0-2, allowing over 120 points in each game (though one did go to overtime).
That said, the preseason is less about wins and losses and more about player development, so that is what the Pacers should be focused on as they inch toward the regular season.
With that in mind, there are some players who fans should be keeping an eye on heading into the Hawks game, and here are the top three.
3. Tyrese Haliburton
Though it may not be for the same reasons as the other players on this list, Tyrese Haliburton absolutely needs to be mentioned, as he is expected to play against Atlanta.
According to Dustin Dopirak of the Indianapolis Star, Haliburton said he expects to play against the Hawks, which would mark his first preseason appearance.
Haliburton missed the first two games of the preseason, but as an All-Star, he probably wouldn’t be getting much playing time anyway. That said, it should be very fun to watch him out on the court for the first time this season.
Pacers fans got a healthy dose of Haliburton content during the FIBA World Cup over the summer, but seeing him in an Indiana jersey again will be a whole different experience.
