The Indiana Pacers and the rest of the NBA will take part in the in-season tournament for the first time this season. And the Pacers will be looking to show the world on a national stage just how much better they have gotten over the offseason.

The NBA has announced the in-season tournament schedule, and the results are excellent for the Indiana Pacers who look to have a relatively manageable schedule for the in-season tournament.

  • Game 1: Indiana vs Cleveland, 11/3, 7 pm ET
  • Game 2: Indiana at Philadelphia, 11/14, 7:00 pm ET
  • Game 3:  Indiana at Atlanta, 11/21, 7:30 pm ET
  • Game 4: Indiana vs Detroit, 11/24, 8:00 pm ET

The first two games are clearly the most difficult, with the game at Philadelphia likely being the most challenging (unless they blow up their team before then). The game at Detroit is likely the most winnable, with Atlanta and Cleveland also being winnable games for the Pacers.

Our way too early prediction is that the Pacers will go two and two through the four games, but of course, that will all be dependent on how each of these teams looks coming out of the gates this season.

This will be great additional national exposure for a Pacers team that rarely gets it.

Tyrese Haliburton is raising the awareness of the Pacers by lighting it up with Team USA and the in-season tournament will be another great opportunity for the Pacers to show the country how good of a team they really are. Look for a young, hungry, team to come to the in-season tournament and look to light it up to show the world not to take them lightly.

This is an excellent opportunity for teams that may not be at the top of the league yet to show the rest of the league that they are on the rise. Additionally, this will give the team some additional win-or-go-home experience, something that the team is desperately short on at the moment.
