The Pacers ended last week with a win, even if the recent stretch of games has been extremely rough. There have been some bright spots, including Tyrese Haliburton continuing to show the world that he is the greatest pure point guard in the NBA at the moment.
The week ahead shouldn’t be much different as the Pacers will play a few difficult opponents but also the worst team in the league. Fans are likely split on what they hope to see, but expect the Pacers to go 1-2 in the week ahead.
Tuesday, February 28th Indiana Pacers at Dallas Mavericks (@ 8:30 PM ET)
On Tuesday the Pacers will head to Dallas to take on the new lineup of the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas shook up the NBA landscape by trading for Kyrie Irving during the trade deadline. With both Kyrie and a healthy Luka on the court, we expect that Dallas is able to beat Indiana with the home court advantage. However, we think the Pacers at least keep it interesting.
Our prediction? Indy loses by less than ten points to the Mavericks on the road.
Thursday, March 2nd Indiana Pacers at San Antonio Spurs (@ 8:30 PM ET)
Next on Thursday, the Pacers take on a Spurs team that is reeling (or tanking?) in recent weeks. They are on a long losing streak and likely don’t look to be breaking that anytime soon in their pursuit of Victor Wembanyama. We expect even with the home court advantage the Spurs to come out flat and look like the terrible team that they are.
Our prediction? Pacers win this contest handily.
Sunday, March 5th Indiana Pacers at Chicago Bulls (@ 3:30 PM ET)
The Pacers end the week in Chicago, in what is likely the most evenly matched game of the week. Chicago, in theory, should be better than the Pacers with two all-star caliber players and the recent addition of Patrick Beverley. However, looks can be deceiving, and in this case, the Bulls are not as good as they should be. We expect this to be a close game in Chicago.
Our prediction? Bulls win this game in a tight one that comes down to the last possession.
Absurd no-look assist by Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton was pure magic
The Pacers' were headed into Orlando on a relatively down point as the team has lost the majority of their games in recent weeks.
