What Pacers’ Haliburton said on Adrian Wojnarowski’s podcast may surprise you

1. Myles, Buddy, and Tyrese may feel that they, together, could be the future of the Pacers organization.
Haliburton had a lot to say about the relationship between Myles and himself. He discussed how they wanted to get together in Dallas in the offseason as well as how Myles had a really mature response to the Pacers going after Deandre Ayton in the summer.
And while that was great to see, the question on many fans minds is where does Tyrese see the franchise looking to be and move with Myles Turner in the future? One small quote that seemed to give us some direction was:
"“Me and Myles had a great conversation before the season. We felt like we could surprise some people. It’s pretty apparent, we belong. I think we’re going from this is just an early run vs. this is something real and sustainable for this team.”"
Tyrese went on to talk about how he felt that a team led by him, Buddy, and Myles couldn’t never be a lottery team, that they were able to compete in the eastern conference.
Only time will tell if Pacers management agrees with that sentiment or not. In the next couple of weeks, the Pacers will have to make a decision to either extend Myles or trade him. The answer to that question will tell us if they agree with their new superstar.
