The Los Angeles Lakers’ poor asset profile should be avoided by the Indiana Pacers at all costs

Los Angeles Lakers fans have been fancying on social media abut their team somehow getting two of Brogdon, Turner, and Buddy Hield. In their horrifying mind games, Purple and Gold fans have Russell Westbrook and Talen Horton-Tucker going to the Indiana Pacers, two players with unattractive trade value after posting subpar seasons.

It’s certainly baffling that fans have been advancing this idea as if there’s any real traction — or any semblance of logic — for the Pacers to send their prized assets to the dysfunctional Lakers for a walking misfit and a rumbunctious guard whose reality pales in comparison to his potential.

The lack of future-proofing with dealing with the Lakers is already a massive reason to steer clear from their front office in trade transactions. Indiana will surely be gunning for future assets if they trade their veterans, and Los Angeles simply has none on their deck.

So, no. Just no.
