The Indiana Pacers took on the Portland Trailblazers at home on Sunday. A game where the Pacers would win big moving them to 25 wins on the 2021-22 NBA season.

This game from the Indiana Pacers had a little of everything. Justin Anderson got his first start, Lance Stephenson had 11 assists, and Oshae Brissett continues to impress.

With just under two minutes remaining in the first half, the Pacers made quite possibly the highlight of the season. After Lance and Haliburton get the steal, we get to see Lance in transition make an absurd pass to Oshae Brissett.

The still photo from this sequence between Justin Anderson and Oshae Brissett made the rounds on Twitter. This was just one of many great passes from Lance in this game. He finished with 11 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 points.

With the Pacers this season, Lance averages 4.1 assists per game which is the second-best of his career. His highest assists season came in 2013-14 where he also averaged his career highest in scoring.

What’s the best caption you can come up with? “When someone says Lace shouldn’t be a Pacer next season”, would be mine.

Oshae Brissett led the team in scoring with 24 points, shooting 8/10 from the field and notching 9 rebounds. Justin Anderson was right behind him, scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds, and four assists in his first start.

This has been a down season in Indiana, but moments like these are never dull no matter the surrounding situation. Lance Stephenson brings life to Gainbridge Fieldhouse every time he is in it and this young core of players has exciting potential.

Rick Carlisle was asked about the play between Anderson and Brissett after the game concluded.

"“It was spectacular. We have seen Lance make similar type plays, but he sees the floor and he put a little extra mustard on it as he looked off into the crowd. Oshae made a strong finish and got fouled. One of the most unselfish and best plays of the season”."

Have to agree with Rick on this one.

"Oshae was asked a similar question about the play, “it started on the defensive end, everyone did a great job with their shifts. Then getting out in transition, you got to get the crowd into it, Lance gave a great pass. I didnt even see Justin until after, the video I saw his reaction”."

The Pacers have just 10 games remaining, so maybe we will have another one of these spectacular plays to end the season.
