The 2021 NBA Draft is less than a week away and with the season now officially over with the Bucks winning the title, all teams now have their eyes on the deep pool of prospects for taking. The Indiana Pacers, which own three selections in the draft, will have a bunch of opportunities to seek an immediate contributor for the next campaign.

Aside from the Pacers’ lottery pick at 13th, the team is also in possession of the 54th and 60th picks in the second round, the former of which was acquired from the Rockets in a 2019 cost-cutting trade involving Nik Stauskas and the latter of which was similarly obtained through a salary move by Utah in the same year.

The Indiana Pacers could clinch value in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft

Second-rounders are understandably not as sterling as those taken earlier, but the draft, aside from those taken in the foremost slots, has always been a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re gonna get. One may get a first-round bust or strike gold with an All-Star in the second-round.

That being said, second-round stars are notable exceptions and not the norm. Nevertheless, the Indiana Pacers, in true gambling fashion, should consider these four worthy risks in the second round of the upcoming NBA Draft.
