The Indiana Pacers offer a cost-cutting option for Utah in a three-team trade

In this three-team trade, the Indiana Pacers re-acquire Bojan Bogdanovic and the Utah Jazz obtain swingmen Justin Holiday and Reggie Bullock and guard Aaron Holiday while the New York Knicks receive wing Jeremy Lamb and guard Matt Thomas.

For the Pacers, Bogdanovic should further augment Indiana’s already-formidable frontcourt rotation who can play as a starter or a heavy minute-sixth man if the team opts to retain the Turbonis pairing. His sharpshooting and underrated prowess as a stopper should boost the Blue and Gold’s less than stellar three-point numbers and team defense.

Meanwhile, the Jazz save ample cap space and secure sturdy wing defense with veterans Justin Holiday and Reggie Bullock who can also assure that Utah’s three-point heavy motion offense remains on full throttle. Guard Aaron Holiday should be a quality bench piece who can play significant minutes when the oft-injured Mike Conley is shelved.

Lastly, the Knicks get value for their own impending free agent with Jeremy Lamb, who should help alleviate New York’s lack of secondary shot creation with his three-point shooting and knack for mid rangers. Young marksman Matt Thomas would be a great depth piece who can come in and knock down triples in spurts.
