Breakups are bittersweet, but reunions are at a different league of satisfaction. In the NBA, these are rare instances, but familiarity is more than enough cushion to facilitate a homecoming. The Indiana Pacers, who are in dire need of pieces that can hoist them atop the league hierarchy, may be in line for one this offseason.

Few players have experienced the same career trajectory of Bojan Bogdanovic. Even at age-32, the Croatian’s game is still growing. After up-and-down formative campaigns in Brooklyn and Washington, the versatile scorer greatly improved in Indiana before leaving for Utah in 2019, where he still resides as one of the team’s main cogs.

A reunion between the Indiana Pacers and Bojan Bogdanovic is not out of the woods this offseason

While the Jazz went out in disgruntling fashion to the Clippers in the Western Conference Semifinals despite owning the top seed, Utah is still among the best teams in the league when healthy. However, recent reports, while contentious, have surfaced, outlining the team’s willingness to trade Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles for an upgrade and to save cap space, especially with All-Star playmaker Mike Conley’s impending and pricey free agency.

Thus, if the Jazz make Bogdanovic available in trade talks, the Indiana Pacers should be interested in reuniting with the talented scorer, who should easily elevate the Blue and Gold’s ceiling next season. Here are three trade ideas to get it done.
