With the NBA Draft a month away, the Indiana Pacers have arranged their first workout.

The pre-draft process is a lengthy one and the Indiana Pacers are starting their workouts a month before the 2021 NBA Draft. On Wednesday, the Pacers will host six draft prospects ranging from lottery-projected stars to guys battling to be one of the 60 players selected at the end of July.

Tre Mann, a 20-year-old guard from Florida, is the premier player of the group for this workout. Mann averaged 16 points per game in his sophomore season with the Gators as he connected on 40.2 percent of his three-point attempts and 83.1 percent of his free throws. He also added 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game as he set himself up to be a first-round selection.

Joshua Primo scored 8.1 points per game in his only season at Alabama and was a solid shooter from the perimeter as well. He knocked down a respectable 38 percent of his attempts. Marcus Zegarowski is yet another shooter who will be in the building for the workout. He comes in after shooting 42.3 percent from downtown in three years at Creighton and was consistent in his quest.

In each of his three years, Zegarowski hit at least 42 percent of his attempts which is a staggering rate. If that carries over to the NBA, he will have a role on some team’s bench for a very long time.

DJ Steward rounds out the guards set to visit the Pacers after spending one season at Duke. Steward did not live up to his early hype but his youth is certainly something worth betting on in the second round of the draft.

Forwards Eugene Omoruyi and J.T. Thor bring the size to this workout and could very well be in Indiana’s plans later in the draft. The Pacers have found success in the second round in recent years and adding more this season, a draft in which the Pacers have two second-round picks, cannot be ruled out.

This is the first of many workouts to come but there are some names to monitor. Tre Mann may not be quite high enough to be in Indiana’s range at 13th overall but a strong showing over the next month could get him into the conversation.
