The Indiana Pacers unveiled their newest uniform.
After watching the rest of the NBA reveal their new City Edition uniforms, the Indiana Pacers have finally done the same. In an ode to history and one of my personal favorites, the Pacers have brought back the pinstripes for the upcoming NBA season.

Indiana has updated the pinstripes a bit to incorporate a more modern look, with the side strip using the newer secondary logo and a more recent font on the front of the jersey than the pinstripe era of Reggie Miller.
Fans, including myself, were begging the Pacers to return to the pinstripes after seeing how wonderful the rest of the league has done with their alternate uniforms. The Memphis Grizzlies and Charlotte Hornets have done a masterful job of bringing back old-school looks to the modern NBA. Now, the Pacers get to do the same.
This new look is much more of an homage to the history of the Pacers than what we have seen in recent years. Last year’s look was awesome, in my opinion, but it was not tied to tradition like some of the others around the league.
Grade: B+
I do really enjoy this look for Indiana. Pinstripes are hard to get wrong anyway, but bringing back an era of Pacers basketball that was fun to watch will make for some more great memories. Thinking back to Reggie Miller and Jermaine O’Neal, who made up my entire childhood, will make Pacers basketball that much more enjoyable.
I cannot give this an A simply because of the competition and lack of a white version of the stripes. Other teams have knocked it out of the park with their new jerseys, including the aforementioned Grizzlies and Hornets. I love the new look for the Pheonix Suns and San Antonio Spurs have done as well.
A white jersey with the navy stripes would have been an awesome touch for Indiana, in my opinion. Despite not having that option, I still believe they did a great job with the new look.
