Victor Oladipo is going to need help from media and fellow players if the Indiana Pacers star wants to get into the All-Star Game via the vote.

Victor Oladipo dropped to 25th place overall in All-Star voting after the second batch of fan votes was released by the NBA. An All-Star last year, Oladipo likely needs the votes of his peers and the media to get into the game, unless he wants to wait for the coach’s picks.

While Oladipo remains in 5th place among the Eastern Conference’s guards, he slipped two spots in the overall standings with DeMar DeRozan of the San Antonio Spurs and Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers jumping past him.

In the East, things remained mostly the same as Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics had 2,381,901 votes to lead the way while the Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade held second place with 1,199,789 votes. The Charlotte Hornets’ Kemba Walker was next with 858,798 votes while Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers kept his spot in fourth place with 695,032 votes.

Overall in the East, the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the way in votes with 2,670,816 but still trails LeBron James of the Los Angles Lakers overall, who has 2,779,812 fan votes so far.

Fans determine 50 percent of the All-Star vote, while media and players will vote as well, to determine the 10 starters.

With that in mind, it certainly seems like Victor Oladipo will be left on the outside looking in once the fan, player, and media voting is done as of now.

So as an Indiana Pacers fan, what can I do?

Vote. Every day.

It is a bit of a long shot that Oladipo gets in via the vote, but that doesn’t mean Indiana Pacers fans shouldn’t be trying.

Though, to be fair, this hasn’t been Victor Oladipo’s best season. Is he clutch? Yes! But while the Indiana Pacers are playing better basketball than a year ago, they’ve done it with less from Oladipo.

In some ways, this is a good thing. The Pacers aren’t reliant on him to bail them out every game. But at the same time, it makes his All-Star candidacy a little harder to justify. He still is one of the games best guards, but it’s understandable that some don’t see him as one of the best this season.

No rest, no problem for the Indiana Pacers this season. dark. Next

Chances are that like last year, Oladipo will get in via the coaches vote for the reserves. No one really cares how a player gets in, or really, how many votes they got. Everyone just wants to call the player they like an All-Star.
