Thaddeus Young can fly: How the Indiana Pacers are spending their summers
By Ben Gibson
The Indiana Pacers were eliminated from the playoffs just over a month ago, leaving plenty of downtime as the summer begins.
The Indiana Pacers were just a game away from advancing in the NBA playoffs, but their arch-nemesis LeBron James once against stymied their progress and started their summer earlier than they would have liked.
That, unfortunately, means the Pacers roster has plenty of downtime as the rest of the NBA playoffs played out — once again leaving us with the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the Golden State Warriors.
For some, it just means getting back to work, but even Victor Oladipo had to take some time away from training to drive the pace car at the Indy 500.
So what have the Indiana Pacers been up to? Let’s take a look.
Thaddeus Young can fly
Looks like Thaddeus Young and his family are enjoying their offseason with some indoor skydiving in Texas, but it looks like Thad is working on his shot, too. Sorta.
Myles Turner is working out, doing yoga
When you’re seven-foot tall, standing on your head looks much more impressive.
Glenn Robinson III heads to Antigua
If his captions were to be trusted, Glenn Robinson III headed to the island nation of Antigua and turned his phone off for a week. However, if you read the comments, you’ll see a friend has figured out that was a lie.
"ben_e10 @glennrob3 come on bro… phones are the only things that take pictures… it’s 2018 😂😂😂….glennrob3 @ben_e10 😂😂 u supposed to have my back"
But of course, Glenn rarely rests for too long during the summer. Less than 24 hours ago, he was back in the gym working on his game.
It looks like Joey Burton is back working with Robinson, which isn’t a surprise, either. The two have worked together for several years now. Burton also added another client and Pacer, Edmond Sumner.
The grind never stops for Robinson or Sumner, or even Burton for that matter.
Time to bring the Pacers Summer Fishing Tournament
T.J. Leaf is off fishing in the Florida Keys, but we don’t have any proof that he caught anything. We’ll need to see pictures of the fish, T.J.
Hopefully, Trevor Booker isn’t lost in the desert
Trevor Booker is preparing for life in a Mad Max hellscape by offroading in the desert around Las Vegas. Looks like they survived as Booker came to grips with the insanity that is the Brian Colangelo Twitter saga.

The summer is long, but the draft is coming up soon and then free agency. Before you know it, there won’t be time for fishing, offroading, or summer fun. It will be back to the grind once again. But until then, it’s good to see the players enjoying some time off.
