The worst thing you could see as an Indiana Pacers fan happened. Victor Oladipo had to be taken off the floor on a stretcher after an apparent knee injury.

Pacers guard Victor Oladipo suffered a brutal injury in the Indiana Pacers battle against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

Oladipo was chasing Pascal Siakam back on defense and slipped, and you could see his right knee pop somewhat. It did not look good, and Quinn Buckner said on the broadcast that Oladipo screamed while he was going down.

Right away, you could tell something was wrong:

The play occurred with 4:05 to go in the second quarter. Everyone, and everything, in the arena, stopped. Both rosters cleared the bench and surround Oladipo in support as he lay on the floor.

The trainers ran out and right away they covered Victor Oladipo knee with a tower. Myles Turner, who was looking on, made a grimacing face. He could tell it looked bad.

It was Oladipo’s right knee, the same one that kept him out earlier in the season. That perhaps causes more concern going forward, but at the current moment, we have no idea what the injury could be.

All we can do now is hope that it is just a patella (kneecap) injury and doesn’t involve ligaments. I’m not a doctor, but if the ligaments are intact that is good news.

The Pacers have diagnosed it as a “serious knee injury”. We will learn more tomorrow:
