Stephen Jackson has announced his retirement from the NBA. The former Indiana Pacers swingman is a lightning rod among fans for his role in the Malice at the Palace and subsequent leadership role in the Jail Pacers era.

Though he provided many a memorable, favorable moment on the court, his off-court controversy and general demeanor means that he will likely always be a villain in Pacers lore.

But it should be noted that he was generally a beloved teammate wherever he went, as the likes of Tim Duncan and everyone on the We Believe Warriors squad always loved the guy. Pacers broadcaster Mark Boyle, who suffered a broken back during the Brawl and thus had more of a reason than most to hold a grudge, also has always had a soft spot for the mercurial wing.

More interestingly, Stephen Jackson announced that he will celebrate his retirement with a party in Atlanta.

He had a digital flier made up and everything.

On on that flier, he listed six people who will also attend in addition to himself. And the names of three of those people — all famous NBA players who Jackson is friends with — were spelled incorrectly. He also misspelled his own name.

Above photos of Al Harrington, Jarrett Jack, and Marquis Daniels appear the words “All Harrington,” “Jarret Jack,” and “Marquis Daniles.” And Stephen Jackson is spelled “Stehpen.”

I would be willing to bet that Cpt. Jack had no role in the design or proofreading of this flier, but, I mean, c’mon. There are 30 words on the whole thing (including ampersands) and you botched four of them, one of which was your first name.

UPDATE: Stephen Jackson also called ESPN “a station full of d***riders” while disparraging Caitlyn Jenner today. So, ya know, there’s that.
