The Indiana Pacers will look to turn things around against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, Nov. 2, and Indiana-market fans can watch on DAZN with a free account.
Indiana is struggling to overcome a rush of injuries, falling to 2-5 to start the year. They will now hope to overcome a postseason hopeful in the Atlanta Hawks as they look to avoid early disaster. The Hawks are 3-4, but their talent level far exceeds the sub-.500 record they've accumulated.
Atlanta enters the game with four starters expected to play and a fifth listed as questionable. Indiana isn't quite as fortunate, as two full-time starters are battling injuries that will keep them sidelined.
Even so, the Pacers have a chance to reroute their momentum with an eye-opening win over an underachieving Hawks side.

Injury report
Atlanta Hawks
OUT: Kingston Flemings (suspended)
OUT: Mouhamed Gueye (left foot fracture)
OUT: Jock Landale (left hip strain)
OUT: Henri Veesaar (torn right ACL)
Questionable: Jalen Johnson (left ankle sprain)
Indiana Pacers
OUT: Johnny Furphy (torn right ACL)
OUT: Tyrese Haliburton (left hamstring strain)
OUT: T.J. McConnell (right hamstring strain)
OUT: Ben Sheppard (torn left meniscus)
OUT: Obi Toppin (low back soreness)
OUT: Ivica Zubac (left ankle sprain)
The Pacers are down several key players, with starting point guard Tyrese Haliburton being chief among them due to a left hamstring strain. Backup point guard T.J. McConnell, meanwhile, continues to battle a hamstring injury of his own. That creates significant question marks at the point guard position, albeit with Andrew Nembhard operating as a proven playmaker. Pascal Siakam could shoulder a heavy workload again as well, with Obi Toppin and Ivica Zubac battling injuries.
Projected starting lineups
Atlanta Hawks
PG: CJ McCollum
SG: Nickeil Alexander-Walker
SF: Dyson Daniels
PF: Jalen Johnson
C: Onyeka Okongwu
Atlanta has a generally clean bill of health as far as the starters are concerned, but Jalen Johnson appearing as questionable with a left ankle sprain could change the entire dynamic of this game. The Hawks' All-NBA forward is the hub of the offense as a star scorer and playmaker. Atlanta still has a healthier starting five with or without him, but his presence and quality could decide the outcome.
Indiana Pacers
PG: Andrew Nembhard
SG: Aaron Nesmith
SF: Kelly Oubre Jr.
PF: Pascal Siakam
C: Jay Huff
Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith are veteran starters at this point, but will be somewhat out of position again with Haliburton and McConnell nursing injuries. Kelly Oubre Jr., meanwhile, will get the starting spot, as will Jay Huff. The group will need all hands on deck to make up for the loss of Haliburton and Zubac.
Pacers vs. Hawks matchup history
The Hawks hold a fairly comfortable regular-season advantage over the Pacers at 113-101 across 214 meetings. Indiana won their most recent encounter on Jan. 31, but Atlanta had won four straight before that.
The Pacers defeated the Hawks 129-124 in the most recent clash between the two sides. Much like that encounter, Haliburton will be sidelined. Atlanta has evolved as a team since then, however, with then-newcomer CJ McCollum adapting well to his new environment.
Indiana won five straight before Atlanta's stretch of four consecutive wins in this matchup, so perhaps the Pacers' current one-game "streak" is a sign of things to come.
What to watch for as the Pacers take on the Hawks
Is Quenton Jackson's breakout real?
The Pacers may have lost 145-125 to the Miami Heat on Oct. 30, but Quenton Jackson took it upon himself to deliver a breakthrough performance. The 28-year-old scored 24 points in 24 minutes, shooting 9-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc.
Two days later, Jackson scored 12 points in 24 minutes, again shooting efficiently at 4-of-8 from the field and 3-of-4 from distance in a 98-90 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. With two straight strong and efficient scoring nights, the question is simple: Can he step up again? If so, a breakout may be looming.
Can the Pacers contain the Hawks' excellent perimeter depth?
With Haliburton and McConnell battling injuries, Indiana is facing an uphill battle along the perimeter. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and CJ McCollum offer a bit of everything on offense in high volume, and Dyson Daniels is a defensive force.
The good news for the Pacers is that Nembhard is an elite defensive guard, and Nesmith can certainly hold his own in a shootout. It's going to be a tough task to outplay Atlanta's perimeter players, however, given the mismatch in health and availability.
Pascal Siakam is due for a big game
Pascal Siakam shot 5-of-17 from the field during the Pacers' loss on Oct. 30 and 6-of-14 on Nov. 1. He scored 13 and 17 points respectively. It was a fairly massive dip from scoring at least 20 points in five consecutive games to open the 2026-27 season.
With two rough showings behind him, Siakam appears due for a big game. The good news: Siakam boasts a career average of 21.1 points on 52.4 percent shooting from the field across 29 games against the Hawks. He's scored at least 25 points in each of his past two meetings with Atlanta.
Best of all: Siakam has scored at least 25 points in four of his past seven showings against the Hawks and at least 20 points in six of the past seven. The lone exception: an 18-point night, during which he also had five rebounds and five assists.
