A lot has been said about Tyrese Haliburton's season so far. After a slow start to the year, the Indiana Pacers star began turning things around. Though his campaign has been inconsistent overall, Haliburton has looked like an All-NBA player once again on numerous occasions. This was no different in Indiana's win over the Miami Heat on Thursday night.

In a 128-115 victory against the Heat, Haliburton scored a game-high 33 points on 13-for-21 shooting, including 6-for-13 from deep. Additionally, he recorded 15 assists, five rebounds, two steals, and a block.

What was most impressive with Haliburton's game, however, was the fact that he did not commit a single turnover. This was just the third time all season he committed zero turnovers in a game.

In arguably his best game of the season, Haliburton recorded 30+ points, 15+ assists, and zero turnovers. With this performance, Haliburton became the first player since the NBA began tracking turnovers in 1977 to achieve this statline multiple times.

The first time Haliburton had a performance like this was on November 14, 2023 against the Philadelphia 76ers. In the win, he recorded 33 points on 11-for-18 shooting, 15 assists, and zero turnovers.

Despite not doing enough to this point to be considered an NBA All-Star in the first returns of fan voting, Haliburton is beginning to make a case that he should earn the nod for the third consecutive season.

On the year, Haliburton is still having a down year. However, over his last 10 games, the Wisconsin native is averaging 19.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 9.9 assists, and 1 steal. Additionally, in that span, he is shooting 48.9% from the field and 38.6% from beyond the arc. He has also led the Pacers to a 7-3 record during that stretch.

At this point, it is no secret that Haliburton is the key to Indiana's success on the court. He had a career year last season, which culminated in the Pacers' first conference finals appearance since 2014. For the Pacers to have any legitimate shot at title contention this year, Haliburton must return to his 2023-24 form, which he gradually has.

The Pacers are still not where they want to be as they are 17-18 and have struggled to obtain a record better than .500. However, if Haliburton's performance against Miami is any indication, the Pacers should be able to stay consistent and right the ship sooner rather than later.
