Tyrese Haliburton enters his third full season with the Indiana Pacers as one of the NBA's best young guards. Last season, in addition to leading the Pacers to their first conference finals run since 2014, Haliburton had the best individual season of his career.

Haliburton led the NBA in assists last season, made an All-NBA Team for the first time in his career, made his second consecutive All-Star appearance, and perhaps most importantly, took home an Olympic gold medal representing Team USA during the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Wisconsin native became the first Pacer to win Olympic gold since Paul George did it nearly a decade ago.

Naturally, with the beginning of the regular season just one week away, many outlets and wesbites are projecting how the 2024-25 season will go, both from a team perspective and a player perspective. Many fans and critics aim to predict who will be in next year's NBA Finals, as well as which player will win each end-of-season award.

Let's take a look at where Haliburton ranks among experts on other websites as he prepares to follow up on his impressive 2023-24 campaign.

Each major NBA player list has Haliburton ranked in the top 20. HoopsHype has him ranked 12th and Action Network has him ranked as high up as sixth. Haliburton's fantastic season last year did not go unnoticed.

The most interesting aspect of Haliburton's current standing in the NBA is that he may not even be in his prime yet. He will turn 25 in February and has only gotten better each year he has been in the NBA. As the Pacers continue to build their team around him, Haliburton will continue to develop as a player in every aspect of the game.

When the Pacers acquired Haliburton from the Sacramento Kings in 2022, nobody knew he would develop into this big of a star as quickly as he did. Additionally, there was some risk involved as the Pacers sent big man Domantas Sabonis to Sacramento in the deal. However, over two years later, there is no question the Pacers would do this trade again in a second.

The sky is the limit for Haliburton and the Pacers as they aim to inch closer to legitimate title contention. Haliburton has already made it clear that he does not want to go anywhere, committing as the face of the Pacers' franchise for years to come. Exactly how far that will go in Indiana is something Pacers fans will certainly monitor for the rest of Haliburton's stint with the team.
