The Indiana Pacers are fully focused on the final two games of the season. They have the Cavs and the Hawks to finish things out. If they win just one of those games, they will avoid the play-in and will make the playoffs. In all likelihood, that will happen.

Soon, their attention will turn to the playoffs. That will be the most important thing for everyone in the organization. That doesn't mean that the front office isn't already planning for the offseason though. It's an offseason that could be very tough for the organization.

That's because there are some very tough decisions that the Pacers must make on some players. They also already have some decisions that are essentially already made, like re-signing Pascal Siakam. What number they get him at will be important though.

The Indiana Pacers have some tough decisions to make this offseason

Re-signing Siakam might be the easiest decision they have to make in the offseason. There are some other things that must be settled. Should they keep T.J. McConnell? Will they decide to bring back Obi Toppin? Is there another star they could possibly bring in?

All of the answers to those questions will be predicated on how well the Pacers do in the playoffs. How well their key star players play will influence how many games they win. That, in turn, will determine what Kevin Pritchard and the rest of the front office decide to do.

We don't know how soon the offseason will be for this team either. It could be as soon as the end of the month or it could be as late as June. Wouldn't that be something? Of course, the most likely timeline is the first week or two of May. This team can definitely win a first-round series.
