Just one month ago, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton became an ambassador for the popular watch brand Movado. On its own, this is a major deal for the Wisconsin native as he continues to embrace being one of the NBA's brightest young stars. However, it seems that Haliburton is not done landing endorsement deals as he enters his fifth season.
Tyrese Haliburton signs multi-year shoe deal with Puma
According to Nick DePaula, the Pacers star has agreed to a new shoe deal with Puma. At this point, not much is known about the details. However, DePaula called it "a massive multi-year shoe deal."
This news comes one week after Haliburton's interesting look at Pacers Media Day when he wore dress shoes with his uniform. Though it was done in good fun, it now also seems that Haliburton was potentially sending a message, indicating he was a free agent in terms of his shoe endorsements.
Haliburton had previously been signed to Nike after agreeing to a deal shortly after he got drafted into the NBA in 2020.
According to Boardroom.tv, via HoopsHype, Haliburton was heavily pursued by other major shoe companies. This includes Anta and New Balance. Ultimately, the 24-year-old landed a deal with Puma.
With his newest endorsement, Haliburton now joins a company that also has Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson, two exciting rising players in the league.
Interestingly, Haliburton is not the only Pacer who landed a major shoe endorsement deal this year. Recently, second-year player Ben Sheppard signed a deal with Nike. Like Haliburton's, Sheppard's deal was a multi-year contract, though no other details were announced.
This year has been a fantastic one for Haliburton. On the court, the guard is fresh off the best season of his NBA career. In addition to being the league's assists leader and earning an All-NBA nod for the first time in his career. Haliburton also led the Pacers to their first conference finals appearance in a decade.
Additionally, he earned a gold medal while representing Team USA during this year's Olympics, becoming the first Pacer to do so since Paul George.
Furthermore, Haliburton has enjoyed success off the court as well. Along with his new endorsement deals, he has made numerous appearances on WWE television and is becoming a household name.
The future is bright for Haliburton and the Pacers as they aim to win an NBA title for the first time in history.
