The 4 Pacers primed to help Tyrese Haliburton out the most

3. Bennedict Mathurin/Andrew Nembhard
Bennedict Mathurin had his year cut short due to injury last season. March 5th at Dallas was the last time the second-year player saw action for the Pacers.
Prior to Mathurin going down, he averaged 14.5 points a game. However, despite the lower average than Turner and Siakam, Mathurin scored more than 25 points in a game at least eight times.
His season high of 34 came on December 18th against the Los Angeles Clippers. Mathurin matched that total on February 26th against the Toronto Raptors.
Mathurin shot the ball better from behind the arc last season by more than a 5% difference. He was also able to increase his assists average and lower his turnover average, too.
His absence was felt but was not as critical for Indiana given the depth on their roster. Head coach Rick Carlisle had his fair share of options.
One of those options was fellow Canadian, Andrew Nembhard. Though he will turn 25 years old during the middle of the season, the third-year combo guard is an above-35% shot from behind the arc.
Nembhard fared decent in the two opening games of the Eastern Conference on the road. As the series switched from Boston back to Indiana, he went off.
In Game 3, he shot 57.1% from both behind the arc and the floor. Nembhard had 32 points, nine assists and four rebounds. In Game 4, he recorded a double-double with 24 more points and ten assists. He also added six boards with one steal and one block, too.
During the regular season, Nembhard closed out the month of January by scoring at least 15 points and gaining at least five assists. His season high (22 points) happened during this stretch when the Pacers survived the Phoenix Suns, 133-131.
Either Canadian would make a great running mate for Haliburton on the court. It's possible that one or both come out and have a career year in the upcoming NBA season for the Pacers. That might be what it takes to help Haliburton and company to make it to the NBA Finals and win a ring.
