3. Pacers at Toronto Raptors

Like the Pistons, the Toronto Raptors were one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference last season, finishing with a 25-57 record. And again, this likely will not be too exciting of a game to watch. However, the Raptors are still an interesting matchup for the Pacers in the NBA Cup.

Most notably, the Raptors were the team that traded Pascal Siakam to the Pacers last season. Siakam spent parts of the first eight years of his NBA career in Toronto and won a championship with them in 2019.

Since joining the Pacers, Siakam has already faced his old team three times. In these games, he has averaged 22 points while shooting 51% from the field, 7.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.3 blocks. It is clear that Siakam plays some of his best basketball against the Raptors, and it will be worth watching how he continues his hot streak against his former team.

Meanwhile, from Toronto's perspective, they still have wing Bruce Brown, who they acquired from Indiana in the Siakam trade, on the roster. For a while, the expectation was that the Raptors would move on from Brown at some point. However, over a month into the offseason, he is still on the team.

There is still plenty of offseason left, but if Brown is with the Raptors going into next season, an NBA Cup game against the team that traded him after 33 games could be something to monitor.
