Pacers Report Cards: Grading every Pacers player's second-round performance
By Mueez Azfar
They did it. They finally did it. After seven grueling games, the Indiana Pacers are headed to the Eastern Conference Finals where they will take on the Boston Celtics. In the wake of their blowout Game 7 win on Sunday, there have been plenty of discussions over multiple topics.
From the injuries plaguing the Knicks to Tyrese Haliburton's aggressiveness, to the strange narratives surrounding the Pacers, this series has been in the spotlight for essentially its entire length, emphasized more by the longstanding rivalry between these teams.
After Indiana put away the Jalen Brunson-led Knicks, the focus naturally shifted to the following series against the Boston Celtics, which will start on Tuesday. After two playoff series of experimenting with rotations and seeing what works and what doesn't, the Pacers are as ready as they can be to face the juggernaut Celtics, against whom they picked up a respectable 2-3 season series record.
With seven more games of playoff experience under this Pacers team's belts, now is a perfect time to judge the Pacers' first-round performance and see how each player did, along with coach Rick Carlisle. These players will be judged based on expectations before the round, where those expectations went, their role on the team, and what their current play means for the rest of the playoffs.
With the playoffs, it is a bit harder to narrow down the players to rank, but I will only be focusing on the top nine minute-getters on the team, along with coach Rick Carlisle.
Without further ado, let's get to the grades!
